Pair of 21″ Vinctifer Comptonisplit Bony Fish Cretaceous Concretion Fossils, Brazil
A collectible and beautifully (quite large) preserved pair of Vinctifer comptonisplit fossils from Brazil. Vinctifer is an extinct genus of prehistoric bony fish that lived during the Aptian stage of the Early Cretaceous Period. The fish was fossilized in a concretion, which preserves detail very well. The head, body, fins, tail, and EVEN THE SCALES ARE PRESERVED! And the concretion has been split in half to expose the fish in both sides.
